Chelmondiston Policies and Procedures
The EYFS (2014) states 'providers must take all necessary steps to keep children safe and well. Early years providers must safeguard children, ensure the suitability of adults who have contact with children: promote good health; manage behaviour and maintain records, policies and procedures'.
To ensure we meet these requirements we have a number of policies and procedures in place that all our staff, committee and parents/ carers need to abide by for the smooth running of the setting and the safety of the children within our care.
We hold all our policies and procedures at the playgroup and it is suggested that everyone read these. As a parent/ carer/ user of the setting you will be asked to agree to these when your child starts playgroup or you access the toddler group.
Staff, committee members, volunteers and students are asked to read these before starting their post at the playgroup and are asked to re-read these yearly or when a policy/ procedure has been updated and sign to say they understand and abide by them.
This policies and procedures are reviewed and updated yearly or sooner if needed (due to new legislation, rules, procedures and best practice) by the setting manager.
Copies are available in the setting and can be borrowed to take home if parents/ carers would prefer this, just ask Lavinia Dzundza (manager).
